The painting by Marco Ventura titled “Feminist Studies” originally published by Playboy Magazine, is part of the exhibit INGRES et LES MODERNES into the catalogue. Organized by the Musée du Louvre, the exhibit is now at the Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec in Montreal until May 31st 2009, and will travel to the Musée Ingres in Montauban in the Summer. The exhibition features 32 works by Ingres, 46 works by modern and contemporary artists (Picasso, Derain, Picabia, Degas, Man Ray, Cindy Sherman and David Hockney) and one of the master’s violins.
C is for Ciao written by Elissa D. Grodin and Governor Mario M. Cuomo, illustrated by Marco Ventura has just been released by Sleeping Bear Press. 35paintings illustrate this 48 pages book, a detailed view of Italy from A (Aqueducts) to Z (Zabaglione); with a final recipe by chef Mario Batali.
